NETNS Book Fair 2012

The Annual Celtic Travelling Book Fair will be arriving at the N.E.T.N.S. library on Wednesday March 7th. As always the Book Fair will have a fantastic selection of books for children of all ages and any money spent at the Book Fair automatically earns commission from sales which allows the school to buy books for the school library. Siofra’s super new design for NETNS.ie!

The response to the first NETNS website header competition has been absolutely fantastic,  we received lots of wonderful entries and it was a very tough job deciding which was the winning entry! Board games in Junior Infants!

We have had another great week of fun and learning in Junior Infants this week!   In Phonics we started a brand new set of sounds. We learned the “z” and “w” sounds. We also learned some cool jingles to help us remember our sounds. We love to sing them at school together!   In S.P.H.E., worked on making choices and showing how we are all different! Hi everyone!! What a busy week we've had!! Check out some of the great things we got up to this week!! In Gaeilge this week we have been learning about the weather and sneachta (snow)!! Siobhán’s Room

We have been doing some wonderful fun activities in Siobhán’s room this week. Students from both Junior Infant classes learned the poem ‘Roly Poly.’ Today, after lots of preparing we went to the recording studio to record the rhyme! You can listen to them below! Reminder: Early finishes next week

School will finish at 1.55pm on Tuesday and Wednesday (31st January & 1st February) next week to facilitate some of the progress meetings which are taking place. In Gaeilge this week we've been learning all about food! Some of the things we were looking at were arán, im, calóga, ubh, úll, banana, ispíní, cáis, sú oráiste, cáca, bainne agus iasc!
