What a week in Senior Infants! We have been learning all about the different days of the week and the different times of the day. Working so well in groups, the children designed pictures of activities for each day of the week and sequenced daily activities into morning, afternoon, evening and night.
We planted up some chives and radishes in our classroom and we can’t wait to see how they have grown by the time we come back.
This week we also looked at some paintings by Vincent van Gogh – we discussed the different colours used and how we think the artist was feeling. Van Gogh said: “I dream my paintings and then I paint my dreams.” We decided to do something similar and so we closed our eyes, listened to some music by a composer called Beethoven, and then we put the images from our heads onto paper to make a beautiful Artist’s folder.
We also made a recording for you all to enjoy:
Karen’s Senior Infants class singing Days of the Week with the help of James, Tara and Ellie from Bobby’s 4th Class.
