We have had another great week of fun and learning in Junior Infants this week!
In Phonics we started a brand new set of sounds. We learned the “z” and “w” sounds. We also learned some cool jingles to help us remember our sounds. We love to sing them at school together!
In S.P.H.E., worked on making choices and showing how we are all different! We made our own individual handprints to show things that we like. First we traced our handprint onto a piece of paper. Then we drew some toys, activities and foods that we like on our handprint and coloured it in. Finally, we carefully cut out our handprint. Each of us had different handprints because we are all different! Well done to the boys and girls for doing such a super job!
We read a really nice story called “The Hummingbird who chewed Bubblegum”. When we finished reading it we enjoyed sequencing pictures to tell the story! Here is a link to the story: http://www.dltk-teach.com/books/artie-knapp/hummingbird/mstory.htm
We also finished our magnets this week and they will be ready to go home after the mid-term break!! Take a look at the photos below to see what they look like!!
It was also Board Games Day today and everybody had so much fun playing together! Check out the pictures of the fun we had!
We hope everyone has a fantastic mid-term break and we look forward to seeing you all on the 20th!!
